Roots ministry is for ages 3 through 4th graders. We provide a meal and ask for a donation of a dollar to offset some cost. Our goal is to teach and train kids to grow deeper in their knowledge of the Bible and who God is. Not only do we want their knowledge to grow deep, but we also want to show and give them opportunities to apply what they are learning. Bible study time, one-on-one time with leaders, and an object lesson time allows us to do this in a fun, exciting, safe, and vibrant environment.
29:11 is an exciting ministry is for grades 5 through 7 and takes place on Wednesday nights during the school year. We meet from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the East Campus building. A dinner is provided each Wednesday night beginning at 5:45 at a cost of $2 per kiddo. We then begin at 6:00 with announcements, games, worship through music, Bible study, and small groups, ending the night at 7:30. Our goal is to develop relationships with the students and help them realize God truly has a plan for every one of their lives. We want them to understand this truth, to know they are deeply loved by a perfect God, and to chase after him in everything they do!
Echo ministry is for youth grades 8 through 12. The mission of the First Baptist Church Student Ministry is to provide a well-rounded, biblical foundation for its students to equip them in their current everyday walk, as well as for the rest of their lives. If a student is active in all aspects of Student Ministry, he or she will be equipped with a biblical worldview that will enable him or her to have a rich, meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. While it is important for students to have fun, and have opportunities to socialize with friends, that is not the primary focus for each event. The main purpose is to expose students to as many solid, biblically based ideas as possible to deepen their faith.
Special Needs- Meeting on Wednesdays from 5-7, FBC has a FANTASTIC special needs program for adults with Special needs called Wonderfully Made. The class is based off the verse Psalm 139:14, "I will praise you for I am fearfully and Wonderfully Made" and that is the message that the class teacher and volunteers try to portray to the class. This class really is the hands and feet of Jesus. It is so sweet to experience the way that they love to worship our Lord. There is really nothing like it!
Adult Bible Study- Want to dive deeper into God’s word? Our Adult Wednesday night Bible study is the perfect place to come, learn, and fellowship! There is also a potluck dinner before the Bible Study starts…full bellies and full hearts!
