Full Time Custodian

The role of an FBC Custodian is to keep the Church campus appropriately set up for the various usages of the Church, helping keep the facilities clean and attractive, and completing tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:
1. An evident heart and love for God, the local church, and a heart to see the church reach its full potential.
2. A background in cleaning services, practices, and general upkeep
3. Have a servant spirit and can-do attitude
4. Live a lifestyle that honors Christ and blesses others
5. Have the ability to use basic tools and equipment
6. Be able to lift at least 50 pounds, drive a van/trailer, and be able to work in an environment where there is dust, chemicals, fumes, and other allergens
7. Have the ability to organize work, set priorities, and work independently with task list
8. Adhere to all local, state, and national regulations and codes
9. Be fully supportive of FBCWP Church & Leadership

Description of Custodian Responsibilities:
1. Help to ensure that all buildings are kept clean and present an appearance that will adequately represent First Baptist Church.  Buildings include: Main Campus, East Campus, South Campus, Old Food Bank, New Food Bank, and areas of storage.
2. General cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, window washing, sweeping, moping, trash removal, laundry, clean bathrooms, toilets, wash dishes, clean kitchens, etc.
3. Install and help maintain adequate cleaning and paper supplies where needed.
4. Complete any check lists assigned to you by Facilities Manager in a timely manner and oftentimes without direct supervision.
5. Assist in keeping all church owned equipment and church vehicles cleaned, fueled and ready for scheduled trips.
6. Be able to help with any lawn care, trash cleanup, or snow removal as needed.
7. Perform set-up and take-down of any chairs, tables, and other equipment for church activities and events. *This could include some time on Saturdays.
8. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Full Time Accounts Payable Staff Assistant

The role of the accounts payable staff assistant is to provide support for accounts payable, credit card management, and payroll for FBC West Plains and to assist with other office administrative duties. 

Description of Accounts Payable Staff Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment.
2. Maintain copies of invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
3. Obtain proper information and/or data for invoice payments.
4. Clarify all invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures.
5. Prepare payment vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts, and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
6. Pay invoices.
7. Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping.
8, Prepare ShelbyNext reports for pastors, deacons, food bank, property & facilities, budget & finance, etc.
9. Process background check forms as needed and review at the end of each quarter.
10. Prepare W-9's for individuals that FBC has paid for services.
11. Process recurring payments that keep up to date.
12. Credit card management - weekly review and end of month reconciliation.
13. Payroll - including some staff timecards.
14. Bank account management.
15. Assist with and perform other office duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. An evident heart and love for God, the local church, and a heart to see the church reach its full potential.
2. Have a servant spirit and a can-do attitude.
3. Live a lifestyle that honors Christ and blesses others.
4. Have the ability to organize work, set priorities, and work independently with task lists.
5.  Highly organized, administrative, and dependable.
6. Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
7. Some banking experience is a preferred qualification.
8. Be fully supportive of FBC West Plains Church  & Leadership.
